Qiyuan, the AGIBOT-linked consumer brand, prices its first home robots from ¥19,999

Qiyuan, a consumer robot brand launched by Shanghai-listed Shangwei New Materials, unveiled its first two products on September 20, 2026: the 88 cm Q1 and the transformable T1, each starting at ¥19,999 and each running Tencent Cloud's WorkBuddy. The launch was fronted by Peng Zhihui, the AGIBOT co-founder known online as Zhihuijun, who chairs Shangwei.

AGIBOT's volume so far has come from industrial and commercial machines. Qiyuan is the group's first priced product for households, sold through consumer-electronics channels rather than enterprise contracts.

What are the Qiyuan Q1 and T1?

The Q1 stands 88 cm tall with 22 compliant, force-controlled degrees of freedom and folds small enough to carry in a backpack. Qiyuan is pitching it on customization: exterior structural parts can be swapped or 3D-printed, and owners can design their own interaction motions and set the robot's appearance, personality, poses and voice. The company markets it as the "world's first personal robot," a company claim. The standard version costs ¥19,999 and an Explorer version ¥26,999.

The T1 is about 100 cm tall, weighs about 16 kg, carries a 3 kg payload and runs roughly 2–3 hours per charge, according to launch coverage. It switches between a wheeled-legged humanoid form and a quadruped form, and the company lists automatic mode switching, active obstacle avoidance and identity recognition. The base T1 costs ¥19,999; the T1 Pro ¥29,999.

CNMO reported that deliveries begin October 1, 2026, in order of purchase, through Qiyuan's official mini-programs and authorized e-commerce channels.

What is Qiyuan's "egg joint"?

Both robots use an in-house actuator Qiyuan calls the "egg joint": 47 mm in diameter, 260 g, with a peak torque density of 85 N·m/kg. Qiyuan describes it as the smallest joint in volume production in the industry. That is company-reported and not independently tested. Small, light actuators are what make an 88 cm robot with 22 degrees of freedom foldable at all.

What does Tencent WorkBuddy do here?

Both robots ship connected to WorkBuddy, the AI agent workspace Tencent Cloud launched as a desktop office tool, and Qiyuan says it is the first embodied-AI company to integrate it. Tencent supplies the conversational and task layer; Qiyuan supplies the body. It is the same split between model provider and hardware maker that is showing up across the robot software stack.

How is Qiyuan related to AGIBOT?

Qiyuan is a brand under Shangwei New Materials, not AGIBOT itself. AGIBOT took control of Shangwei through two holding vehicles and held 63.6232% of its shares as of October 29, 2025, according to EET China. Peng became Shangwei's chairman on May 25, 2026.

Two days later, on May 27, Shangwei told investors that AGIBOT's related company is an indirect shareholder whose operations and core technology are independent of Shangwei's. It added that Peng holds no executive post and does not take part in specific R&D, and that Shangwei had begun exploring consumer embodied-AI robots as a separate business. Its shares fell 11.82% that day. Four months later Peng introduced the products himself, and the Q1 and T1 launch is the first concrete result of that consumer business.

Why it matters: at ¥19,999, the AGIBOT group now has a consumer robot price point inside a separately listed company, while AGIBOT keeps building volume in industrial machines such as the G2 behind its 15,000th unit.
