Galaxy’s robot calendar: Halloween robot, January 2027 idol debut and a New York arena

Galaxy Corporation chief executive Choi Yong-ho set out a dated robot calendar in New York on September 21–22, 2026: an in-house limited-edition robot at Halloween, a robot idol debut in January 2027 and a New York robot arena as early as early 2027. Several of those targets are firmer than the ones Galaxy gave at its August 21 briefing in Seoul.

Why it matters: the calendar is the checklist against which Galaxy’s planned US listing will be judged, and the first item falls due in five weeks.

What is Galaxy launching at Halloween 2026?

Choi told Hankyung that on Halloween, October 31, Galaxy will unveil a robot for which it handled “everything from hardware to software”. He said it would be a limited edition, not mass production. The park’s humanoids are currently made by China’s Unitree. At the August 21 briefing, Galaxy had described an own-developed robot carrying children’s character IP for the end of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027; the September reports do not say whether the Halloween robot is that product.

Separately, Choi told Seoul Economic Daily that some people on Galaxy’s roster have agreed, on a non-profit basis, to have robots made in their likeness, and that the company would “probably announce one each month”. EDaily reported a second version of the CEO-modelled humanoid — unveiled in New York as “Schofield Stein”, spelled “Scofield Stein” in some English reports — for late 2026 or early 2027.

When does Galaxy’s robot idol debut?

January 2027 is the target Choi gave Hankyung and Money Today. At the Seoul opening briefing on August 21, the timing was the first half of 2027, with a world tour from the second half. Where will Galaxy open its next robot parks?

New York is now the most specific. Choi told Money Today that Galaxy is preparing a New York robot arena for early 2027 at the earliest, able to stage K-pop shows four to five times a day and more than 1,000 times a year, and that the company will also enter Los Angeles. No site, landlord, capacity or budget has been named.

Dubai is less settled than the September quotes suggest. Seoul Economic Daily quoted Choi saying a second Robot Park would open in Dubai “within this year”, with US and Japanese venues following in three to six months. Two weeks earlier, Herald Business wrote that Galaxy was “reviewing” business in Dubai and the US. Japan appears only in the Seoul Economic Daily account among the September interviews. Our earlier piece on Galaxy’s Dubai entity noted that a registered company is not an open venue; that remains the case.

The same message was presented at home. At the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Unicorn Bridge forum in Seoul on September 15, vice president Yoon Sang-bo described Galaxy’s shift from artist management to physical AI and named Dubai and the US as expansion targets, Hankook Ilbo reported.

Which dates can be checked first?

Halloween is the first hard test: a robot either appears on October 31 or it does not. The Dubai opening is next, with a December 31 deadline on Choi’s own wording. The robot idol in January and New York in early 2027 follow. The listing timeline, with an underwriter targeted for late 2026 or early 2027, is covered in our New York and US listing report.
