What happened at Galaxy Fail Forward?
Choi opened with his own record. He said the Korean-wave magazine business he started in France in 2011 went bankrupt in 2018 with close to ₩10 billion of debt, and that he founded Galaxy in 2019 with ₩1 million of capital. Galaxy reached a valuation of ₩1 trillion in December 2025. “Failure in the commercialisation process is an essential step and a valuable asset for refining a business,” Choi said, according to Wikitree. Former KAIST president Lee Kwang-hyung also spoke.
After a robot performance, Choi introduced Schofield Stein, which appeared in white with light-coloured hair, and held an on-stage conversation with it about overcoming failure. He described the robot as his “other self”. In the Q&A, which drew many families, children asked what the robot is made of and Choi explained the development direction.
What is Galaxy building with the robot?
Choi described a “Soul AI” concept in which robots learn human feelings through conversation, and said Galaxy wants to make “robots with a human heart”, according to Newstop. He said Galaxy’s physical AI is intended to be a technical base that supports people taking on bold challenges.
Galaxy has said it will unveil a limited-edition robot on October 31, 2026 and debut a robot idol in January 2027, as set out in Galaxy’s robot calendar. The company also staged a robot campaign in Times Square and at Rockefeller Center in New York on September 21 and plans to expand with bases in the US and Dubai.
