The K-Humanoid Alliance launched in April 2025 targeting humanoid leadership by 2030. MOTIE's M.AX Alliance, announced December 2025, committed about 700 billion won for 2026 with goals of an industrial humanoid foundation model by 2028 and at least 1,000 humanoids a year from 2029. On August 10, 2026 the presidential chief of staff said a special law would be enacted within the year designating special zones for AI investment projects.
